Prism Sound and Oxford Digital, in conjunction with the AES and other key industry partners present the "Audio Design Workshop - LIVE" series of workshop events for professionals in the audio industry.

The Audio Design Workshop - LIVE (ADWL) is intended to provide a forum for design engineers and others interested in the challenges of today's audio product designs to network and discuss problems and solutions.

The format is based on a classroom and laboratory setting with each presenter taking questions and engaging in discussion with attendees, both in the room and, for certain events/venues, with external attendees via the interactive live webcast.

Presenters are encouraged to bring product examples with test gear or speakers to demonstrate some of the issues they discuss. These demonstrations are outside the classroom in a laboratory setting and allow in-depth discussion between attendees and presenters.

ADWL workshops will cover a range of application examples and will be driven by feedback from attendees so that the most popular topics are covered as well as some more esoteric examples.

The first topic was "Active Loudspeakers: Design and Optimisation Masterclass" and was presented at the inaugural event at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, UK in partnership with AES in March 2013. The event was a great success, with tickets to the event being sold out a month beforehand and with more than 100 additional attendees following the live webcast.

A range of topics will be covered over the 2013-14 period and live events will be held in various countries around the world.
